Paging Phibes!

My Galaxy Note10 5G+ spent the night outside in a pretty torrential downpour. It never stopped raining, and is still raining. Just found it with the battery dead of course. I wiped it down and took the S-Pen out which had water on it. Shook as much moisture out as I could then stuck it in a gallon jar of industrial desiccant beads about 30 minutes ago. I have not plugged it in yet.
My questions is, do you think it will survive? I will leave in the jar for a few hours, maybe overnight if you think that would be better. Or, is the damage done, and drying it out, a futile exercise?
Figures, right before I have to go a conference.

Sorry, Mark, I really have no idea - this isn't something I do. It sounds as though you've done all you can.

@Doctor-Phibes Oh, I thought you worked on the water resistance spec or something.

Well, we do IP and NEMA testing, but that's the ratings for enclosures keeping water out. If your phone has an IP rating (e.g. IP54, IP 65 etc.) then there's a really good chance that it will have kept rain out - at least it should have. An IP X4 rating means splash resistant, IP X5 would mean tested with a water jet. An IP X4 should be enough. The first numeral in the IP rating is keeping dust out, which isn't really applicable.
Check the instructions/Specs...
Edit - sorry, cross-posted with your second post. Great news!

I found this about the phone. Pretty impressive. I remember dropping this phone into a bucket of water not long after I got it and was amazed that it survived. I thought the constant 16+ hour exposure might be worse for it.
The Samsung Galaxy Note10 is rated IP68, using the Ingress Protection rating system. The dust rating is 6 (highest level of protection), and the water resistance rating is 8 (water-resistant up to 5 feet for up to 30 minutes).

Yeah, IP 68 should protect it against almost anything as long as you don't take it diving. The only thing that could harm it would be hardening of the gasket over time, but phones don't really last long enough for that to be an issue.
