As I have said before, (at this time) if the Democrat wants to win the president in 2024, they should encourage President Trump to run.

Even with the poor job that President Biden is doing, a recent poll still has him beating President Trump.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/biden-surges-to-beat-trump-by-6-points-in-2024-rematch-poll/ar-AA11pdIw

In my opinion, it seems like President Trump has "lost" the center-right of this forum board. If it is happening here, it is happening out in the rest of the world.

If President Trump is the Republic person, 30% (approx) of the middle-right will "hold their nose" and vote for him. 30% (approx) will hold their nose and vote for the Democrat. And 30% (approx) will vote for neither or a third party because they like neither. President Trump cannot win getting 30% of the middle right.

It is kind of like the primaries. Alot of candidates get nominated because the "extreme" sides of each party like them. However, in the overall election, those type of people have a lot more trouble getting elected because the sides of each party have less impact on the result.

(Of course, alot can happen in two years. Economy could come back alot (or it could get worse), etc).

Trump has lost many of us. But do not read that as any of us, given that choice, would vote for Biden.

I partially agree. That is why I said that a certain % will hold their nose and vote for President Trump. However, there definitely will be SOME % (maybe I was too high, but I still expect it to be 50%) will either vote for a third candidate/not vote, or vote for the Democratic person. And every person that does that is kind of voting for the other side. For my opinion, that will "easily" be enough to elect the Democrat person.

A lot of people in the middle-right were never 100% behind president Trump. That is why he lost in 2020.

Well, opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one.

Actually, Trump's supporter have two. The brown one and the orange one.

I'm sure you're intimately aware of assholes, with in-depth knowledge.

        @Doctor-Phibes

Or people who never, or rarely, take the time to make the effort get off their arse to vote on Election Day.

If you were slightly less of an imbecile, you would be glad people whose opinions you don't respect, don't vote.

You are right though, there is an imbecile who posts here but it ain’t me. Nor does he warrant respect.

I don't think there are any imbeciles here. Assholes? Yes. Imbeciles? No.

I don’t know. The a vs an mistake was egregious. I’m not saying I’ll never get over it, but I need time to process my emotions.

Nothing bad about having the reputation of being an asshole - although I would think it’s better to be thought of as a son of a bitch.

All the same though I reckon it puts you and I and, of course, Horace, all in good company together.
