Cohort study? Useless. A million unknown confounding variables could influence the result.
I eat pretty much what I want (although still dieting), I drink what I want, and I'll croak when I croak. Do what you reasonably can for your health and then don't worry about it. It ain't permanent.
If I drank what I wanted, I'd be dead already.
I suppose I am another victim of moderation.
