    I was on an Orwell kick in 2018 and while burning through his stuff re-read Animal Farm and 1984.

    I haven’t re-read many books in my life though. Other than children’s books of course.

    Only non-witches get due process.

      @jon-nyc oh, my.

      Dune, the first book of the series.

      Catch-22.

      And (ahem) Altered Carbon.

      Those are the three that come to mind.

      The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

        What'd you think of Catch?

        My last was Paradise Lost I think.

        Please love yourself.

          I must've been in college the first time I read Catch-22. Being in my 20s, much of the sardonic, bitter irony was lost on me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story.

          I did it again about 20 years ago, when I was in my 40s, and it gave me a very different impression.

          There's a huge trend toward non-linear storytelling these days, especially in TV (viz: "Three Days Ago..."). Although it was not a huge stylistic point in Catch-22, I remember thinking how confusing it was as I read it, and as I plowed through, there were lots of "Oh yah!" moments.

          I was really looking forward to the HULU retelling of the story, and it was a huge "meh" for me. It wasn't bad, but it was sarcasm and comedy done with a sledgehammer, rather than with a scalpel.

          One of my favorite books.

              The Robin Hobb Fool Series - six books altogether. I figured I must have read them the first time round when we had toddlers, as I could barely remember anything about them.

              I was only joking
