Jolly liedKnowing about the investigation /= knowing about the search warrant.
Distinction without a difference.
Wray: Mr. President, we're investigating Trump.
Biden: OK, thanks for the heads up.
Wray: Release the Kraken!
Biden: I missed that. Were you talking to me?

It’s a distinction with a difference. The White House said they learned about the raid from Twitter. The doj investigation has been going on for a long time.
Sarah Isgur, who worked for Jeff Sessions’ in the DOJ, said there’s no way a DOJ would alert the White House about this kind of thing because to do so is to further politicize it and put the WH in an awkward spot.

@jon-nyc you make good points.
Don't want to get political about it.
But, just between you and me, don'tcha think that someone at DOJ pulled someone at the WH aside, and winked, saying, "You're not going to fucking believe this...."
Plausible deniability, after all.

No, because there's no way for thee and me to believe (or disbelieve) it. It could have happened. It's how lots of things happen -- maybe even most things. But we the unwashed will never know.
And certainly not some cockamamie "news" outlet.
Jon said something smart further up, but I forgot already what it is. Whatever it was, I agree.

When the stagecoach pulls into the western town with no driver and the dead passengers shot full of arrows, I doubt a single cowboy turned and looked at one another and shouted, "Fucking armadillos!".
