Lowes?
-
I recently had washer & dryer installed by Lowes, and by and large I am happy with the delivery and the installation.
Not sure if the quality of service differs from location to location, but I would say I am generally quite happy with Lowes’ installation service.
FWIW, in the last few years, I have had dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and an oven with cooktop installed by Lowes and Home Depot. Things generally went well and I don’t have any “horror story” to tell. I think Lowes does things more consistently better than Home Depot, and for certain things Lowes will hire contractors who are licensed plumbers so Lowes can handle installations that are more complex (but this is also where Lowes charge you more for installation). But if I find a major appliance that’s only available at Home Depot, I would also have no reservation with getting Home Depot to do the installation.
There are two Home Depots and two Lowes reasonably close to me, and I can tell that one Home Depot provides better service than the other, while both Lowes consistently provide good service. There may be similar regional or even store-to-store differences with the big box stores near you.

My impression is that the hardware is generally lower builder-grade, but if you insist on upper end hardware you should be fine.

I need a new range. I'm looking at LG - the unit is the same across various vendors, so it should not be an issue.

Not the range itself, but the connectors… Linkage to the exhaust fan has line connectors, etc…

You’re skipping the important question….
How many Lowes would Rob Lowe rob if Rob Lowe could rob Lowes?

I had a Bosch dishwasher done couple of years ago. No problem.

They installed a new oven in our last minute emergency kitchen update, in preparation for selling our home. The new oven had a stabilizing crossbar in back at exactly the height of the gas valve coming out of the wall, so it couldn't back up flush with the countertop. I removed the crossbar, problem solved. But then the other stabilizing crossbar was at exactly the height of the electric plug, so again the range couldn't sit flush against the wall. I removed the other stabilizing bar, problem solved. No more stabilizing bars, no more problems. Not sure why they didn't think of just not adding stabilizing bars to their product. Pretty much just cause problems as far as I can tell.
