@Jolly you're reading my mind. This just popped up for me, and you're linking it.

How did you get access to my computer???

Actually, watched that one right when he posted it. Came back to it this morning.

We work, while others sleep sound in their beds. 😛

I have come to like Beato’s YouTube presentations. Just the other day I came across his video parsing out Nirvana’s Smells like Teen Spirit. Although never a Nirvana fan, that song had always piqued my interest and, at times, tormented me as an ear worm. So I sat down and watched the video in its entirety. Well worth it too, as it laid out exactly why the song reaches out and grabs the listener as well how musically sophisticated it is both harmonically and melodically.

          Have a try at it:

Wait, I didn’t quite get it. That was or wasn’t his last video?

Right, and he asked people to hit the subscribe button… But it sounded like a final video…

Which is actually evidence for it not being his final. As he said, he'd never make a "final video" kinda video.

I think so. He does make videos like this from time to time. That is to say non-sequitur, personal kinda stuff.

Sophisticated click bait title. He is getting better at his job, no reason to stop now.

I'd argue that it's not entirely clickbait as it also fulfills the promise of the title. Presuming it's a goodbye video is an easy one to make, but it is a presumption. Instead, the whole video is literally about things that don't last forever.

My impression is that what Beato is saying is that it is okay for people to want to change their careers even if it means doing something less lucrative or prestigious.

It's self evident. He talks about having multiple careers and moving from one to the other. He talks about his current career, how long a successful YouTube channel lasts and the fact that he is 60 years old.

This is his last career, if and when it flames out. And he knows it.

True, but I wonder how much he has managed to sock away from YT. Nothing else he has done has been lucrative, unless his producing career made a good living.

It's self evident. He talks about having multiple careers and moving from one to the other. He talks about his current career, how long a successful YouTube channel lasts and the fact that he is 60 years old.

This is his last career, if and when it flames out. And he knows it.

Considering his success, I don't think he'll give a shit, nor should he. He'll be able to hang it up with a great many accomplishments.

True, but I wonder how much he has managed to sock away from YT. Nothing else he has done has been lucrative, unless his producing career made a good living.

@Jolly how much can you really earn via YouTube?

Is it based on subscribers? Likes? Views?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
