Mar-a-Lago raided

It’s an ideology and a religion.
I call it the LALALA contingent. (Those Trumplovers who react to everything by sticking their fingers in their ears and going LA-LA-LA-LA-LA.)
There can be no other explanation for their die-hard allegiance to the hero after all this time.
You have to wonder though how malleable is his base in actuality. Does it not stand to reason that some number have fallen away, have said, enough is enough? Especially since their reasoning was pretty fucked up to begin with. And it's way too early to say how many (if any) will fall away in the wake of this development.
It may be that the times are a-changin and leaving the pundits behind in their perspicacity and prognostications. Leaving them going, Da-rump de dump, which way did dey go?
This is loosy-goosey think, I know, but there is often if not always a lava-lamp quality to the culture. No sooner do the sociologists think they have it nailed, than it changes.
If nothing else, it'll make jury selection interesting.

He was referring to certain Biden voters. It was an attempt to respond to me, to his credit. The conversation was followed. It happens sometimes here.

One Trump attorney claims that she was not allowed to see the probable cause for the warrant. It was sealed.
She also claims that at first, she was not allowed to see the warrant itself, finally it was shown to her. Unknown and unclear as to whether the warrant was actually delivered.

Most recent speculation I read, from a left leaning major outlet, was that this is about the national archives stuff. The boring possibility having to do with disagreements over what is classified government property and what is personal property.
We shall see, but when? Long enough that if it’s a nothing burger, nobody will care?

Some interesting speculation from today's WSJ.
Mr. Trump has already returned 15 boxes of documents, but the National Archives wants to know if the former President retained classified material he shouldn’t have. This is what appears to have triggered the FBI search, but it’s far from clear why this couldn’t be settled cooperatively, or at most with a subpoena.
Didn’t someone at Justice point out that a search in this case would draw comparisons to Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information before her 2016 presidential campaign? She was never prosecuted, as Mr. Trump was quick to point out. Unless Mr. Trump’s offense involves a serious risk to national security, half of America may see the Trump search as an example of unequal justice.
And...
That the Mar-a-Lago raid occurred only about 90 days from a national election also increases the political suspicion. Democrats want to keep Mr. Trump front and center in the midterm campaign, which is why the Jan. 6 committee is continuing into the autumn.
Anyone who thinks an indictment and trial of Mr. Trump would go smoothly is in for a rude surprise. Millions of his supporters will see this as vindication of his charges against the “deep state,” and who knows how they will respond. Has Mr. Garland considered all of this?
Worse in the long term is the precedent being set and the payback it is likely to inspire. Once the Rubicon of prosecuting a former President has been crossed—especially if the alleged offense and evidence are less than compelling—every future President will be a target. William Barr, Mr. Trump’s second AG, wisely resisted pressure to indict political actors without a very strong case. The next Republican AG will not be as scrupulous.
And...
The FBI search alone makes it more likely that Mr. Trump will run again for President, if only to vindicate himself. He will run as a martyr, and even Republicans who want to turn the page on the former President may be repelled by what they see as a political prosecution.

I doubt very seriously that this raid was about classified papers. That may be the excuse, but this was a fishing expedition, purely political in nature. They've got the man, they just need a crime.
Given past behavior and the willingness of the Dem machine to weaponize Justice against all things Trump, it's just another day in our banana republic.

That's Andy McCarthy's take. Once you're in, if you find evidence of another crime, even in Melania's wardrobe, you can run with it.

@Jolly Either one suffices. They both can have hearingpalooza.

I’d much rather he die in prison.

Says the man who’s entire politics are motivated by grievance and revenge.

We should all be so lucky to have our hearts and public noises unambiguously left aligned, while relying, in our heads, on most of the conservative policies supported by the politicians we despise. So fortunate to be in such a no lose space.

A weird thing happens to musca domestica larvae, they assume that being anti-Trump makes someone unambiguously lefty. Despite my many thousands of posts to the contrary.

Is this where you attempt to gaslight people into believing you’re a confirmed centrist on national politics? While obviously being terrified of being associated with the right?

How could I ever get away with that after so many years of carrying water for AOC and Bernie Sanders?
You think I’d risk getting kicked out of the local BLM chapter just to impress you?

Your emotes are homogenous in their valence. (That sentence was for you 89th).
And you know emotes are how to establish social credibility.
