One of my favorite movies of all time. Amazon Prime has it as a "free rental."

I remember being taken to the theater where my father translated all the Russian dialog for me (which was not subtitled).

Alan Arkin spoke fluent Russian, having been taught by his grandparents. Russian viewers of the movie commented on his Georgian accent.

    The Trailer:

I remember that movie. Pretty funny.

        Who's the hottie behind Arkin?

        He looks familiar . . .

Do they even make comedies like that any more?

"Tootsie" comes to mind. So does "Young Frankenstein." "Stripes."

              Perhaps "Mrs. Doubtfire." Perhaps.

What else is just funny without being sophomoric, offensive or just plain stupid?

                No, they don't

Bathroom jokes and insults are the most sophisticated parts of most comedies now.

Here are the top 70 so far this century

To be honest, I can't comment on many of these because I wouldn't waste my time.

                  @Copper

                  "The Royal Tennenbaums?" Really?

                  "Anchorman" was funny.

“The Grand Budapest Hotel” was just weird. Not funny,

"Best in Show!" YES! Hysterical film. Brought to you by the makers of "Spinal Tap" and other masterpieces.

"Borat" was worth a chuckle or three.

If I hark waaay back, I'd still have to say the funniest movie I ever saw was A Shot In The Dark with Peter Sellers.
