Hey Phibes! Whaddya think about a Truss?
-
@Mik I don’t really know anything about her, other than her portrayal as a bit of a hapless wannabe in the very funny BBC radio show Deadringers.
I guess she’s to the right, and was one of the few people who stayed loyal to BoJo - read into that what you want….

Liz Truss was named as Britain's next prime minister on Monday, winning a leadership race for the governing Conservative party at a time when the country faces a cost of living crisis, industrial unrest and a recession.
After weeks of an often bad-tempered and divisive leadership contest that saw the foreign minister face off against former finance minister Rishi Sunak, Truss came out on top in a vote of Conservative Party members, winning by 81,326 votes to 60,399.
"We need to show that we will deliver over the next two years. I will deliver a bold plan to cut taxes and grow our economy," Truss said after the result was announced.
"I will deliver on the energy crisis, dealing with people's energy bills, but also dealing with the long-term issues we have on energy supply."
The announcement triggers the start of a handover from Boris Johnson, who was forced to announce his resignation in July after months of scandal saw support for his administration drain away.

"I am like one of those booster rockets that has fulfilled its function,’’ Johnson said Tuesday morning as he left his office for the royal Balmoral estate. "I will now be gently re-entering the atmosphere and splashing down invisibly in some remote and obscure corner of the Pacific."

He's more like a V-2. He'll come crashing down just when you least expect, creating carnage.

The future ex-Prime Minister is doing a fantastic job, but she's not alone. She's got a hand-picked team of heartless greedy self-serving assholes assisting her.
The next government will not be Conservative.

LOL. And they say the US is dysfunctional.
She's been PM for, what, 10 days?
I may be wrong, but even Jeffrey Epstein lasted longer than that.

At least BoJo offered comic relief to his government’s sinking ship. Truss appears to be a muggins tossed out as a forlorn hope in the face of certain annihilation by who knows what.
Perhaps an application to rejoin the EU would be a good start at recovery.

Seen on twitter:
"My son has lived through four chancellors, three home secretaries, two prime ministers and two monarchs.
He's four months old."
Brexit’s going well. I remember them telling us how it would let Britain fully govern itself at last.
Should have stuck with the Germans.

U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss Resigns After Six Weeks
U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss said she would resign, after a risky plan to cut taxes and boost spending caused turmoil on financial markets, forcing her to backtrack and her political authority to disintegrate.
The 47-year-old will become the shortest-serving prime minister in British history and the third Conservative Party leader pushed out of office in as many years. Ms. Truss said that a leadership election would be held within the next week to find her replacement.
“I recognize that given the situation, I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party,” she said standing outside Downing Street on Thursday.
The resignation comes months after rebel lawmakers forced outBoris Johnson as prime minister following a series of scandals.
Ms. Truss’s successor must now navigate a political crisis and economic turbulence, with Britain dealing with stagflation—the combination of slow growth and high inflation. The new leader is almost sure to face a long winter of discontent, with real wages forecast to fall, labor unions promising a series of strikes and many voters demanding elections.
