This is an old (2015) video.

    Still remarkable.

I know a neurosurgeon whose specialty is CNS stimulation.

Problem is, that's not a permanent solution.

        Yeah.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but for how long is it effective? How does that compare with the life-expectancy of severe Parkinson's?

        Might be worth it.

        I dunno....

Guy I went to school with went on to Medical School and had an eye doc practice in Virginia.Came down with Parkinson's in his middle fifties. Probably got his implants about three or four years ago. He told me he was probably good for 5-6 years.

Don't know if that's the average or not.

My only memory of my paternal grandmother is visiting her as a child in a nursing home every month for what seemed like years as she slowly died of Parkinson's.

It's lived with me ever since. Horrible disease.

            I was only joking
