Haul it off.

In the next week or so, I've got to go look at a Shoninger Cabinet Grand. The lady who owns it sent the wife a pic. Piano is probably about 56". It's not one of the ornate ones, just looking at the pic, I'd peg it in the 1910-1929 range. Those were well-made pianos, and was probably originally bought by someone in the middle-class who played...Good company, plain walnut cabinet, good guts, big sound. If it was an ornate cabinet, it might even be worth a refurb and refinish...Alas, it's not.
The lady that has it now, bought it for her children to learn on. The kids have grown and left home, only one boy still plays and he bought a new piano several years back. I don't think it's been tuned in years. And it's going to be free, if someone wants it and if the wife & I think it's worth somebody hauling it.
I'm not going to suggest to anybody they haul off a piece of trash, so how good does this piano need to be, to keep it out of the dump?
