Now that we're planning to sell this shithole home in this shithole state, I started caring that a shithole car with shithole rusted out spots and shithole accumulating leaves from the shithole trees overhead, had been parked on the street in front of my home for two months. Now, your typical Karen may have called the city and complained about this violation of the 72 hour limit for street parking, but I am an extraordinary Karen. I wrote a hand-written letter explaining the situation and asking them to move it. I checked on it today, and the crumpled note had been tossed on my lawn, but the car was gone. That could have gone worse. Imagine their reaction if I'd had the car towed instead. They could have blown up the house sale with some cleverly timed vandalism or noise pollution.

I live about 5 miles north of Mountain Falls. The plume from this tire fire (or as we locals called it, tahr fahr) completely blanketed the sky over our heads. It was the bizarrest thing I ever saw.

I wanted to tell them to get their piece of shit off of my lawn, and that there's a 72 hour law, and that I would have their rusted out eyesore towed if they don't move it, but I tried my best to pretend to be nice, instead. Pretending to be nice is often a good idea.
