      I did not know that you did not have to live in the area that you want to (or do) represent.

      I would have thought it would be required. Makes sense to me to require it.

      I guess in theory, I could live in Bangkok, and get elected to represent @George-K area!! LOL

          You do have to live in the same state... And you generally don't win if you don't live in the district or extremely close by. I believe both Vega and Spanberger lived in the 7th before it was redrawn.

          It's sort of interesting that Spanberger (a moderate) has been railing against the Defund the Police movement in her party now has to face off against a police officer.

              Oh yeah. The redrawn district is a little redder than the old one. Of course, it also depends on how much DC spillover has moved into Prince William and Fredericksburg Counties. They've taken over Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun and are starting to spread west and south.
