That would explain the "random thing happening in the woods" angle but not the way it behaved.

I mean, it's just nuts. Nothing makes any sense.

    Please love yourself.

Bounced and changed trajectories. A good sized limb can kill you. A small one can leave bruises.

This has gotten me intrigued as well. Let us know if you ever do discover what happened, k?

          Yes. Stick with it.

If you do, keep a log.

You have seen the Blair witch project, haven’t you?..

You will never walk in the woods again.

Hardwood trees shed. Limbs fall out of the all the time. A small limb breaking free near the top of a tall tree wouldn't be heard on the ground, and should it hit another limb on its way down just right, it could send the limb spinning at a 45 degree angle.

So my guess is that. There's aren't any monkeys where you live, big foot or zombies aren't real, always look toward the simplest, most realistic explanation to things....

Edit: besides... if a monkey was up in a walnut tree it would be to get walnuts, not limbs. So if a monkey did it you'd have been hit with a walnut.

Oh.... and big foot is too heavy to climb trees.......

                      Zombies can't climb.....
