Certainly not surprising, if true. There is great power in clowning one's political opponents. There are plenty of clowns on either side, and they always play to the hands of the opposition. It makes perfect sense for the opposition party to promote them.
Yep, but they're promoting them, because they think they'll lose in the general. If a Red Wave occurs this fall, a rising national tide can lift all boats. One could easily help elect his nightmare...
Not sure what is guiding them. If they can win the primaries, even with the Dem's money, they can sure as hell win the general. They are making the exact same mistake they made in 2016 - assuming no one would vote for THOSE PEOPLE.
