Freaked me out as well. The fact that the guy said that he didn't know or trust me and wanted to meet in a public space was a green light - appropriate skepticism, but not hostile.
When he paid, he said, "I didn't want to give you $100 bills, because people are skeptical of them."
By the way, I had it listed on eBay for $400, hoping it would go up. But, eBay always takes 10%, and then there's transfer fees for funds, etc. Iirc, PayPal is another 1%.
This was much MUCH better.

I assume the process is pretty much the same - buyer pays, you get funded the cost + shipping and off you go, right? However, calculating shipping costs is up to the seller.
I've only done local sales, meeting in a safe spot, etc.
