    https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/aviation/a40209434/chinese-fighter-dangerously-intercepts-australian-jet/

… A Chinese fighter jet and Australian multi-mission patrol aircraft were involved in a dangerous midair incident over the South China Sea late last month. During the event, a Chinese plane released anti-radar chaff in front of the Australian plane—a potentially disastrous situation that could have resulted in the loss of the aircraft and its nine-person crew. …

      China is an asshole...

These types of encounters between aircraft have been going on for a long time. Usually between the US and Russia.

It's not surprising that the Aussies and Chinese are seeing it as well.

What is surprising is the release of chaff by the Chines aircraft. That's REALLY dangerous.

      Assholes.

@George-K I have been following that. The Philippines navy sunk a old ship on an atoll and have stationed a group of personnel there.

I find it funny that the mainland China complains that the PI is trying to establish a permanent outpost there when you can look at the amount of "permanent" outposts the mainland China has put up over the past years, including airstrips, etc.
