What happens is the Brain Monster comes creeping into their rooms at about this age and steals their brains, for what purpose, we do not know. Fear not, the monster will return their brains, just as the good doctor has pointed out, not until sometimes after age 21 or older.

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Mark Twain left home in his late teens and returned in his twenties.

His comment was “I was surprised how much my dad had learned in just four years.”

"You never know what worse luck your bad luck has saved you from."
      -Cormac McCarthy

        OMG.

Buckle up, buttercup. I can see the derision in his eyes.

I dunno, maybe I’m influenced by @jon-nyc’s avatar right next to the picture.

This is correct. You've got about another year before he stops being himself and goes insane. He stays that way until at least 19, if you're lucky.

But fear not, the Good Kid returns. Eventually. You're in for it, but rest assured it will not last.

                  Happy Birthday, boy-nyc. 🙂
