Are any of you here helped to vote by endorsements?
Obviously, people think that they mean something.
Why would you listen to Oprah on who to vote for? Why would you listen to President Trump on who to vote for?
In both cases, I think the amount of research that has been done by the endorser is pretty small.

Never understood that.

I would listen to Trump or Obama before I'd consider Oprah's or The
DixieChicks' opinions. In both cases, I think the amount of research that has been done by the endorser is pretty small.
I never understood campaign rallies either. Presumably, you're going because your mind is made up, right?

I went to a McCain Palin rally in my home town. It was pretty fun to be up close and personal - with the Secret Service. Most serious human being I ever saw.
Fun to see black suited snipers on the rooftops of my town.

LOL: "Historic win for John Fetterman, who becomes the first Senator to have pulled a shotgun on an unarmed black jogger."
"Pretty sure Strom Thurmond did it on a weekly basis (but perhaps that was a musket)."

The congratulatory call from Biden must have taken 3 hours and 6 teletype machines to get 4 coherent sentences…

I’ve seen him use the opposite word of what he meant on three different occasions at least: Goodbye instead of Hello, Goodnight instead of Welcome, and Always instead of Never.
There’s a chance he winds up with a Conservative voting record….
