We're shopping for some new furniture (sofa & loveseat) and discussing covering. Our current stuff has seen better days, and the leather is starting to wear after 13 years.
We talked about fabric coverings, but the thought of having something that's not easy to wipe is not appealing to me. Years ago, we bought a sofa and loveseat that we didn't know were "bonded leather." Of course after several years, the stuff literally disintegrated. It was crap.
So, is there an alternative to genuine leather that will hold up, be easy to clean and look good?

Your cats don't tear your leather sofa up? Mine has totaled my old leather office chair.
