They’re down because the businesses who pay NYT for advertising can’t afford it anymore.
Maybe not something that’s appropriate to take pleasure in.
NYT aren’t the only victims of that exact same malady.

Let’s say the President hates Bob.
Let’s even say he’s justified in hating Bob.
Bob gets massacred/injured in a shooting/accident/whatever that kills multiple people.
Probably not appropriate to say “hey Bob - I see you couldn’t defend yourself there and survive.

Trump knows why their business is down. And after all the battering he's taken from them, I still think he's like a dog rolling in a fresh cowpie, enjoying himself to the fullest.

I am embarrassed for him when he does stuff like that. I dont know if he truly thinks people are impressed or understands that many people are laughing at him, not with him. It just does not seem appropriate for a world leader to do.

Yes, world leaders are usually above that sort of thing.
It is nice to find a world leader who knows his place.
He is not above that sort of thing.
In fact he is not above much at all.
In that way he might remind you of Mother Theresa.
