Hillary Clinton approved dissemination of Trump-Russian bank allegations to media, campaign manager testifies
Clinton's former campaign manager said he took the idea of leaking Trump-Russia allegations to multiple senior campaign officials
WASHINGTON — Former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook testified Friday that then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton approved the dissemination of materials alleging a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank to the media, despite campaign officials not being "totally confident" in the legitimacy of the data.
Former FBI General Counsel James Baker testified Thursday that the bureau investigated the data alleging a Trump connection to the Kremlin-linked bank, and found that "there was nothing there."
Mook was called to the stand for testimony by Michael Sussmann’s defense Friday.
During cross-examination by government prosecutor Andrew DeFillippis Friday, Mook was asked about the campaign’s understanding of the Alfa Bank allegations against Trump and whether they planned to release the data to the media.
Mook said he was first briefed about the Alfa Bank issue by campaign general counsel Marc Elias, who at the time was a partner at lawfirm Perkins Coie.
Mook testified that he was told that the data had come from "people that had expertise in this sort of matter."

I'd settle for the prison in Alderson, W.V. It's a nice, quiet, pretty little town.
Ms. Stewart's stay seemed to calm and invigorate her. Maybe a like treatment can do the same for Ms. Clinton.

I seriously doubt Hillary would handle it with the grace Martha exhibited. Not to mention Hillary is a whole lot more deserving of prison time than was Ms. Stewart.
Can't argue with either point.
Martha was an example, that maybe shouldn't have been. Hillary? Woman belongs in jail.

In short, the Clinton campaign created the Trump-Alfa allegation, fed it to a credulous press that failed to confirm the allegations but ran with them anyway, then promoted the story as if it was legitimate news. The campaign also delivered the claims to the FBI, giving journalists another excuse to portray the accusations as serious and perhaps true.
Most of the press will ignore this news, but the Russia-Trump narrative that Mrs. Clinton sanctioned did enormous harm to the country. It disgraced the FBI, humiliated the press, and sent the country on a three-year investigation to nowhere. Vladimir Putin never came close to doing as much disinformation damage.

Mean tweets and broken eggs: the story of how the left made a righteous omelete gobbled up by the mediocre masses.

Not only did her Sussmann sell it to the FBI, he tried to sell it to the CIA as well.
Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann denied he was “representing a client” when he gave the CIA faulty data linking Donald Trump to Russia — and appeared “frustrated” that officials weren’t taking the information seriously, two former agency employees testified Friday.
One ex-spy — identified in court only as “Kevin P.” — recalled that he and a colleague met with Sussmann at CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., in February 2017, shortly after Trump took office.
Sussmann gave the men two thumb drives that he said came from unidentified “contacts” and showed a secret, cyber back channel between a Trump Organization server and Russia’s Alfa Bank, Kevin P. said
“He said he was not representing a client,” the witness testified, adding that Sussmann also said he’d previously given “similar but unrelated” information to the FBI.
Oh, and then CIA obligingly changed the report:
Following the meeting at CIA headquarters, Kevin P.’s colleague — identified as “Steve M.” — drafted a memo summarizing what took place and noting that Sussmann had been there on behalf of a client, according to evidence shown to jurors.
But Kevin P. edited the memo to take out the word “client” and replaced it with “contacts,” another exhibit showed.

If a story doesn’t appear in the NYT did it really happen?
Why The Slimes and The Compost should in no way be considered any type of objective news source.
