I do not agree with the current "wait & see' shit from the Feds. I believe in agressive treatment for any virus. My opinion?

How, though? We're managing the fever, working on food and fluids, but they straightup won't see her unless she's nearing unconsciousness.

How, though? We're managing the fever, working on food and fluids, but they straightup won't see her unless she's nearing unconsciousness.
Tell them her numbers are dipping below 90 ( and they could be), that she's not getting better, that her temp is going up ( it has), and you're bringing her in to be seen. Don't ask, just tell them she has met the criteria they set, and you are doing as they recommended. They may quibble when you are there, but just repeat that you are following the instructions you were given. That is your story and stick to it.

Yeah. I guess I already knew that—I have to do it a lot with my own medical stuff—but needed the reminder. Thanks, all.
It's freaking ridiculous that that even needs to happen, but, well, that's our healthcare system I guess.
Oh and by the way, wife's got a 102 fever. She's been sick for 3 days but today's the day her temperature rose. Negative COVID tests: PCR yesterday, in-home today. Go figure. Might lend credence to George's guess about multiple illnesses.

I don't think it's that weird - loads of people in our office are testing positive at the moment. Probably more than at any point since 2020

No, I meant the first day in school… That would have been the most likely source, but COVID does take a few days to gestate. It makes it more likely to be something like strep along with COVID.

Was more or less okay today. No smoker voice, just coughing. Fever but stayed at about 100. My wife's still around 101.

Negative for strep and COVID. They gave her some stuff for fever. As for the kiddo, she's coughing although not as bad, and sleeping less during the day, so, progress?

Still has bad coughing fits, but they're less sporadic. They sound pretty bad at the time, but fortunately they're pretty short-lived. Still gettin' through it.

This has been going on far, far too long.
Hopefully, once it’s over it’ll be the end of it.
