Exposed. Now what?

SIL was out of town for business this weekend. Got home late last night.
Today, he got a text that someone he traveled with tested positive for COVID. He was in the car for 25 minutes with the person who is now "coughing his brains out."
D4, SIL are boosted (J&J) in November. She's 30 weeks pregnant, and G2 is 3 ½ years old.
Crap. Now what?
I assume avoid contact with D4 for a while...

About a week, I would guess.

I'd isolate for 5-7 days.
If it makes you feel any better, I've had three prolonged exposures to people who tested positive, and escaped without getting sick.
Of course, I could be a modern day Typhoid Mary....

Holy cow. George, I can understand your concern for your daughter and grandchild. You will want to help, because you're a great dad, just take care to protect yourself and your wife as well. Your entire family would be devastated to have you or your wife get very ill.

SIL tested negative today, 5 days after exposure.
That's great news!
It seems like vaccinations (or whatever) work really well for some people.
