Just thought it would be appropriate for a copycat thread title.

    Makin' anything interesting these days?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Oh, George, you won't believe what I am doing these days.

I'm reupholstering the seat for our lawn tractor! Holy cow, I am crazy to be doing this, but hubby needs a new seat, and our tractor is old enough that it's not easy nor cheap to get one. I have the butt part done as of today, and the next part is the back.

It's not as easy as I thought, because part of the frame has to be placed inside the foam cushion. I use an old electric knife to do this. It actually works well and is the recommended tool for cutting upholstery foam. Hubby is so excited about this whole thing, I had to tell him to leave me alone as I cut the foam to fit the frame inside it. He was totally backseat driving about the cutting needed. I had to give him 'the look'.

He picked the colors for the heavy winter-grade vinyl for the seat. It's dark green with a black inset down the center. I added some batting and vertical stiches to create channels in the black stripe. Hubby is so pleased!

I've not worked with vinyl fabric before, and I am glad my cheapo sewing machine can handle it. Of course, if it hadn't , I'd be getting a new one right now. LOL Why did I not think of this sooner? 😆

You are correct that I should bake something. It's cold and wet here. Running the ovens is wonderful for warming the kitchen and the back part of the house.

Maybe some scones? Or cookies? Or some bars! Yes, hubby loves some bars, and they are very fast. I better bake some tomorrow. 🙂

The very word “baking” somehow smells delicious.
