The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

      Ugg.

When covid first hit, and we r all scared to just be alive, my worst fear was not dying but getting intubated and the spending the rest of my life with a trach.

      good times.

A truly fun experience was waking up in a CCU, tubed and feeling like I was drowning. I was in restraints and a very kind nurse was holding my hand and trying to calm me down, while somebody else was putting my lights out again.

When they let my wife in, to show her I was still alive (curses, foiled again!), the nurse showed my wife her hand. I didn't break it, but I came close. Very close.

That was a really bad feeling...

Reminds of my wife's aunt who was a nun in Belgium. She told family she hoped her end would come by being hit by a bus. Ended up, she was killed by being hit by a taxi. The guy in the sky works with what's handy. One can only hope for the swift end to it all.
