Denham Village

Watching an interview with John Mills' daughter, Juliet, recently. She talked a lot about their old home in Denham Village. When they lived there, the village was full of creative people from Great Britain's film industry.
A village dating from Elizabethan times, the small village had four pubs in her childhood, where most of the village's residents would gather in the evening. Many ideas, scripts, projects and roles were hammered out over a pint in those days.

And just down the street from Mr. Mills place is an Italian restaurant, named Da Remo, that we used to frequent.
It was a great place, we would get 8 or 10 guys and spend several hours eating, drinking and smoking in the back room. We were mostly Americans just in the UK for work, so no wives to stop us from staying out late. We left huge tips and they loved us.
Denham Village is a great place.
Now that I think about it, there was a house rented by 5 or 6 guys just down the street from Da Remo. It had a regulation size (large) Snooker table. We spent a lot of time hanging around that table.
