Infowars files for bankruptcy protection

I suspect the lawyers are the only ones who made any money out of this one.

Strong moral stands are fun.
Calling Alex Jones a scumbag isn't exactly a strong moral stand, more like pointing out the bleeding obvious.

There’s calling him a scumbag, then there’s grandstanding about one’s visceral outrage.

Grandstanding about visceral outrage is pretty much exactly what Alex Jones did.

Yes, that is true. He does that a lot.

Probably because,
A. Infowars does not have the footprint or influence of CNN. Except for the MSM ya-ya, the vast majority of Americans would not have heard Jones' opinions on this matter or much of anything else.
B. Infowars, AFAIK, has nowhere near the deep pockets of CNN. The parents will have the satisfaction of bankrupting the company, but other than shutting Jones up on this subject, what did they accomplish? Nutters gotta nut, on either end of the political spectrum. He makes his living off of agitprop.
He will continue to do so.
