Accomplishes little. The idiot student suffers no repercussions, and ultimately neither does the school or the officials…

Right. The fact remains that the professor had to go to extraordinary lengths to keep from being punished by the woke mob. Most people will simply bow to the mob's demands rather than go through that. Not to mention, a court case such as that has no guaranteed outcome. The important moral of the whole story remains - the student knew "her" power to punish this professor for not toeing the woke mob's line, the student exercised that power, and only through extraordinary efforts was the professor able to resist that power. Nothing changed going forward, and the next student who wants to act like that, will get away with it again.

I am just surprised that this happened at Shawnee State. Portsmouth is not what you'd call a hotbed of liberalism and LGBTadnauseum culture.
Think banjos and woods.
That may align with theories about those ideas having infiltrated the entire culture, which is to say, pop culture.

@LuFins-Dad Doesn't matter about repercussions to the student. What matters is that Authority reversed a dumbassery and it made the news.
I'm not sure repercussions would even be called for. The student had a right to make his request. It was the school that was wrong, and the school fixed that.

The fun part is that they’re tarnishing their extreme prestige reputations with this shit.
These institutions have been knocked down several notches in my eyes, and I’m betting I’m not the only one.
You and Tucker Carlson.
