Unfrosted, because hubby likes to add the frosting right before eating, and just a little frosting is his preference.

Yes, we embrace diversity in our bunnies.

I got them from King Arthur Flour on sale after Easter last year. Each bunny is just perfect for one serving. Not too big, not too small. You will want two pans for convenience to make a dozen. The pans stay too hot to reuse for another round immediately.

I used the remaining batter from each flavor to make 6 sweetheart rosebuds of each. Those are a tad smaller in size, but I used all the batter in them anyway, so they have a cute round bottom that makes them look more like real rosebuds.

I used to know this, but I forgot: What happens when you use them anyway?

You need to find some froggo pans.

          These are sooo cyuuute!

Uh-oh, you've captured Copper's attention. You're in trouble now. You know how he gets when his daughter sends him cupcakes for his birthday.

If the pan is already very hot, the fats will no longer be well distributed throughout the batter as an emulsion. Typically, the fats end up in a pool at the bottom of the pan, so you have greasy cake and dry cake from the same pan. Not tasty!

BTW, it's called the Bunny Cakelet pan by Nordicware. Sometimes it's advertised as the Baby Bunny Cake Pan.

For those interested in the rosebud type pans, there are two sizes.

Several places sell these, so shop around for the best price. Just be sure to get the Nordicware brand. You will want the quality to get a good bake.
