    Get ready, it's coming. Mr. Biden's approved it.

    Talked with a small engine mechanic today...He said 80% of the problems coming into the shop are fuel related. He also said manufacturers will not warranty small engines running E15 fuel. Gonna be interesting, considering that a lot of small engine parts are in short supply, because they're manufactured in China.

    Wonder what's going to happen with cars?...

      @Jolly fascinating.

      One of the surgeons I worked with was a private pilot. He was complaining about EPA regulations requiring aviation fuel be environmentally "friendly."

      However, no such fuel existed at the time of our conversation.

      Perhaps @Copper can shed more light on this.

      The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

        Long game?

        Food prices are going through the roof, the Chinese are buying our corn like mad and now we've decided to burn more corn instead of eating it or using it for livestock feed.

        Maybe food prices will take the entire roof off, instead of just bowing out a hole...

          Yes, this has been going on for a long time. In fact, I'm sure we discussed it here.

          I seem to remember a time while I was still an airplane owner when this came very close to happening. It was only at the last minute that someone figured out that this requirement would shutdown the entire aviation industry worldwide, or at least cripple it for a long time.

          An environmentally friendly fuel requirement would have meant no general aviation, at least until every plane in the fleet was "fixed". This would mean no new pilots. No new pilots would mean no aviation.

          The FAA is still researching ways to make this magic fuel.
