I always found his voice annoying, but that was the point, wasn't it? Also, it was an affectation.

Seems that he had a form of muscular dystrophy that can affect cardiac muscles.

He had a sudden arrhythmia (v-tach) that killed him.

I wonder if he had had cardiac issues before this final fatal one. Perhaps an AICD would have been life-saving.
