My cats just love to hang around on the piano, so I think I need a cover for it. Has anyone bought one? Is it easy to pull it off the keyboard when I want to play? are they true to size? My reasonably priced options are 180cm (mine is 185cm) or 200cm.

@Mik I have one on my piano that fits perfectly. I don't actually open the piano lid at all - keeping it covered nearly all of the time. I bought a cheap metal music stand to put on top of the cover as the cover is folded back so that the fallboard is always uncovered. The piano's innards are like brand new as no dust gets in there. The only time we remove the cover is when we have a recital or tuning the piano.

My stand is something like this one.

I have a Bosendörfer cover which is a precise fit.

There are 185cm covers out there. I don't think you need to compromise on size.

The 200cm are only 4 inches longer. i can live with that. It's mostly to keep the cats from scratching it is they decide to tussle.
