Exactly. Texas prohibits abortion after 6 weeks, probably the most restrictive in the US.

Functionally, putting that restriction aside, what's the difference between self-induced and someone else doing it?

Charges will be dropped. From what I have read, the law is entirely too confusing to be enforced in any meaningful way.
