Green Onions

Mrs. George is a huge fan of green onions/scallions. Sometimes, however, when I get them, they're ignored and get slimy (yuk!).
Whaddya think of this?

If using them to cook with and not as a garnish, chop and freeze. They do fine for that. I suspect those you linked are just dehydrated...You can try that if you have a dehydrator (If you don't, they're great for banana chips, peppers and jerkey, so you might want one).
Right now, I've got a buttload. This is the time of year for us, when we let them go to seed. After the flowers start to die, you can dig up the green onions and hang them in a dry barn. Most of the bulbs will be good to replant in the early fall.
I'm experimenting with a few hills. I pulled them and separated them, before replanting. I'm hoping the heat won't kill them, but I just don't know....

Green Onions, a great early funk tune. Big hit for Booker T & the MGs. Based on a blues riff associated with Sonny Boy Williams’ tune Help Me
Here’s a cover version of Green Onions featuring the late, great Jon Lord and the Hoochie Coochie Men:
