I had Katz Deli in NYC deliver me some fixings for Reuben sandwiches. I've made many Reubens before so hopefully I won't screw it up. Oddly, the pictures and videos I've seen of Katz' version indicate that they don't grill their bread. I'll toast my buttered bread in the air fryer.

I got one pound of corned beef and one pound of pastrami, so I'll have enough for some pastrami sandwiches too.

The black and white cookies are a nuance-free sugar bomb, avoid.

The best Reubens in Cincinnati are at Izzy Kadet’s deli downtown. Not grilled. Fantastic with a latke and a pickle spear.

There was something too sweet and tangy in either the dressing or the kraut. We preferred the reubens I've made with supermarket fixings. Also the meat was dry. The pickles they shipped were on point though.

          I don't like Reuben sandwiches.

I don't even like forums where discussion of Reuben sandwiches occurs.
