They gave the Browns an A for giving away their draft to get a QB with a .500 winning average that will likely be suspended 4-8 games and has significant personal problems and issues.

Everything else in that article is invalidated when I saw that.

I don't follow football at all.

But, one of the nurses I used to work with has a son who went to Notre Dame, played football as a long-snapper. We all thought this was all a pipe-dream.

I guess he signed with the Detroit Lions the other day.

Happy for Davante Adams. He was a rookie for the Packers the last season I followed football.

There’s a peculiar supply and demand in the market for long snappers. It doesn’t take a great deal of athletic talent, just a willingness to practice it. And admittedly a very high level of size and talent. Just not nearly to the degree of the other players on the field.

            Education is extremely important.

A career goal for a long snapper is to never see your name mentioned in a game recap.

It’s also one position that should be exempted from the veteran minimum salary. A lot of guys get cut just as they are hitting their peak because 6-8 snaps a game doesn’t justify a 6 year vet salary.

I worked a gal who had three sons who played college ball, all centers. LSU, NSU, and ULL. The only one who had a NFL career was the one who went to LSU and caught on as a long snapper. Apparently, that's a very specialized position that demands utmost consistency.

Ranking the best & worst offseason moves

                  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Grade: A+

Yep. A lot of stars have remained. This week's good -- no, great -- news is retaining Lenny Fournette. At first they thought they couldn't afford him, but they scraped it together somehow. Gronk still hasn't decided. Come on, Gronky! You know you want to!

Lotsa silly rumors -- like Brady talking Julian Edelman into moving south. Like that'll happen, but you'd never guess it from the rumors flying. It could happen, but I seriously doubt it. But wow, if it did? Holy cow.

Tell you what: The other 31 might as well hang it up. Take the season off. Just FedEx the Lombardi to Tampa. 🤣

There has probably been so much damage to Edelman's head, that a few more hits in Tampa won't matter very much.

@Copper Wow, really? I don't know anything about this. Is he seriously damaged?

That's just my recollection of all the times he has caught passes across the middle and got blasted. I haven't seen the cat scans.
