The manager of one of the local (four locations) funeral homes talked my wife into playing for a funeral on Monday. Oh well, at least it's a paying gig.

I'm really more excited about the employee discount...

Playing only on one Monday sounds more like a contract gig rather than a W2 employee gig. You sure the employee discount extends to “contractors”?

Good question.

I know she goes into a pianist pool. She stressed that with her health, she can be unreliable, but that didn't seem to bother them. If she's contract, I'll consider her self-employed and setup my taxes that way.

If she's part-time, I'll check on my discount.
