For the farmers, diesel and fertilizer prices are driving things nuts. They don't buy fertilizer by the bag, but by the truckload.

Alright, talked to a hay farmer this morning...He just bought fertilizer to go on his fields.

$950/ton.

That's double the price from last year. He's not going to fertilize as heavy (about half the usual) and hope for a 75% yield.

I think this is a bit of a scare story. With looking at inflation, current crop prices are not up a lot higher than in history. The futures are predicting increases, but nothing super super high.

Even the US stock market, which I have been told here is a good predictor of future confidence, is coming back strong
