      Horrible idea. If you pull something that looks like that, it better be able to stop them. Immediately.

        Yes. Presumably, it will, and that's what they advertise.

        There's no guarantee of that, of course.

        Do you think that the person from whom you're defending yourself, presumably because s/he's a threat to your life, will notice that it's orange, and therefore not lethal?

        I doubt it.

            Yup. My first thought as well.

            Now, imagine that you're in River North, in Chicago, and some citizen decides it's time to carjack your Audi. He pulls a piece, tells you get out of the car and give him the keys.

            Do you think, if you pulled this, he'd shoot?
