No, you don't get it. You don't even come close. You're still trying to equate it with the protests and riots of the summer in a huge slippery slope of what-aboutism.

Time gives perspective. While it's natural to get up in the air immediately following the event, just what long-term detrimental effect did it have on the country? Out here, it's pretty much zero.

People are worried about the price of gas, inflation in general, wage stagnation, the high cost of housing, healthcare problems, education problems and whether we might get drawn into a war we don't want.

I hear January 6th from the talking heads on CNN, Jon, you and a couple of others on the net. It never comes up in conversation in the real world, at least not in my part of it.

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Thanks for telling me what I'm trying to do. 😄 Bro, you were the one who brought up the BLM/Antifa incidents, not me. I'm not trying to equate anything. I fully admit the incidents were very different.

That's because you live in RedLand. Just as much as you like to point out that city folk forget that rural America exists, I think you often slip into the same problem with urban areas.

            Please love yourself.

What's that massive dip on the right? (No, I don't mean Donald Trump.)

Lad, you live in Beltway Land. It's even more of an echo chamber than RedLand. It's why a lot of us out here don't bother with the MSM as much as we used to. We watch local news and occasionally catch something on the radio while driving, but even urban dwellers out here don't put as much emphasis on many things the East Coast thinks is of paramount importance.

And my initial point is that Biden will be given the blame for record inflation. Most Americans in the working sector do not remember the miasma of the Carter presidency. They are in for a rude shock and Mr. Biden is going to get torched.

My daughter is married to a union steward. God Bless him, he's quit defending Biden at all. Having to buy a car, put gas in it and buy groceries will do that to you.

Speaking of things one seldom hears, I don't hear much rah-rah over Biden at all. Through Afghanistan and some other COVID nonsense, Biden himself paved the way for liberals to ignore him without their losing face with the Right People.
