Teenager who rely on infant formula for sustenance

Due to rare and severe allergies, a 16 year old boy can only consume certain specific indent formula to stay alive and grow.

That is a good story.
(I am not sure if this is bad to say or not, but he looks quite healthy. So, I guess that eating just the formula works pretty well).

That is one expensive diet. Imagine how much formula a teen can eat.

The article says he eats ten cups of formula per day. Not sure if that is the formula only or if it is after it is mixed with water/milk.

@taiwan_girl , I think the “ten cups” refer to formula mixed with water. His unusual allergies would not allow him to consume natural milk. That’s why he has to rely only on infant formula. Well, at least that’s how I understand the article.
10 cups * 8 fl. oz. per cup = 80 fl. oz.,
Typical infant formula packs about 20 calories per fl. oz.
So 80 fl. oz. should give him 1600 calories, a reasonable amount. -
(I am Spending too much time on this. 55555)
Seems like he is eating about one can a day. I did a quick look and it appears that one can is about USD $25.
More expensive than I thought for one day.
