I've never liked helicopters.

I once had to fly in one to a North Sea oil rig. They spent two days training us in what to do if it crashed, which didn't really help my state of mind.

On the taxi ride on the way to the airport, all the radio bulletin talked about was the guys who'd crashed into the sea 2 weeks earlier.

I just don't understand why anybody would go in one for fun.

@Doctor-Phibes I've been told that flying a helicopter requires the skill of someone who can balance a book on the end of a pencil.

An Apache pilot once told me it was like balancing on a bowling ball.

Same thing, I guess...
