Speaking of national parks in the US

I love Yosemite, but the one we visit most often is Yellowstone. Recently, I have noticed comments (not here) that people think it's not very exciting or interesting. My reply to them, "Go home then, and stop hogging the roads in the park for those of us who appreciate it."
Every time we visit, we see some different wildlife. We've gone in the heat of summer, and during months when it snowed on us there and we left just as they were closing the park roads. I have winter pics of the buffalo that walked along side our vehicle while traffic was at a crawl on the snowy roads. Had I opened my window, I could easily have touched his head and shoulders. The traffic crawled along at the same pace as our new travel companion, so there was plenty of time to get a very close view of him. I'll see if I can go in the wayback machine to find pics to post.

I have a friend that had a most interesting part-time job after he retired
Bob was a man of many skills. College basketball player, oil field welder, retired police detective, maintenance foreman, cattleman and the only guy I ever knew that flew from his house to work almost everyday.
When he finally retired from his FT job and sold all his cattle, he and the wife wanted to travel a bit. Bob, being tight as Dick's hatband, wanted to keep the cost down. He bought a new Ford Super duty diesel and a fifth wheel travel trailer.
He got a job working maintenance at national parks during the tourist season. AFAIK, he never worked the same one twice.
He and his wife did a lot of side trips while staying at the parks, except on Sundays. I forgot to mention, Bob was a preacher and would hold Sunday morning services at campgrounds, at whatever park he was working. Small stuff, low key. He's even married a few couples at the parks over the years

I found a pic. That line across the bottom is part of my side door of our vehicle. We were pretty much eye to eye as he walked along beside us.
This second pic was during a snow storm in September (!) , and again, the fellow was right along side our vehicle as went slowly went forward on the road. The pic is not as clear, but I will post a third that is not as close, but clearer.
I rolled the window down very briefly for this pic.
