Saw that yesterday. The Capitol Police released a statement that their job is to make sure that the offices of the congressmen are secure.

So, one cop saw that the door was unlocked.

To my mind, "securing" the office would have involved (checks procedure notes....) locking the door. NOT walking in and taking photos of whiteboards and who knows what else in the congressman's office.
