What do you think about Pierre? My relatives, all of whom lean Conservative, like him.

He’s a fiscal conservative or at least that is how he presents himself. Like Harper, he is either not a social conservative or chooses not to address social conservative wedge issues. Not sure though as to how he would manage the deep fractures in the federal Conservative Party. He can be more than just a little abrasive which could repel the more moderate Tory caucuses in Atlantic Canada, Quebec and southern Ontario - all of which he needs in order to maintain any cohesion in the Party and win a national election.
The article compares him to Jason Kenny. No comparison. Kenny is a rather mealy mouthed and stupid toad like populist milquetoast - all hat and no cattle. Quite the opposite of Poilievre who is an articulate and sharp tongued firebrand who does his homework and knows his facts. He may very well be the person to return the Tory party back to conservatism and away from the populist libertarianism that is destroying the party from within.
If he were leader would I vote Tory in the next federal election?
Not likely, but would at least respect him as a true parliamentarian and conservative statesman.
