    so, in todays modern aviation, you can forget to put down the landing gear and not realize until your engines are scraping the runway?

        The report says that they initiated the go-around because of " problems with extension of the (nose) landing gear".

        Was the problem was they forgot to lower it?

        Or was there some mechanical problem?

        Either way they shouldn't have gotten that close to the ground without knowing they had the gear down.
