    OK...I'm still a n00b for this.

    What's good to make?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Hey - well, this will be a first time for me. I'm going to try cooking a ribeye in the air fryer. Read an online recipe to preheat to 400 and cook 8 minutes per side. I've salted and put a bit of extra virgin olive oil on the steak per the recipe.

This may be a bad idea - but you never know...

I cook steaks in the air fryer, if I'm cooking indoors. It works fine. I sometimes have strip steaks thick enough that they can stand on their edge, which is ideal. They cook evenly that way.

Not a success. I seared it after bringing it out of the air fryer. It looked great, but it was pretty tasteless.

I would look first to the meat or the seasoning if a steak is tasteless. Cooking method can't do much for you on that front, beyond the sear or the smoke if you're grilling.
