41 knots! Wow, I had no idea they were that fast (though supposedly today's carriers get close to that).

Interesting that it's harbored on Lake Pontchartrain.

The Kidd is harbored in the Mississippi River at Baton Rouge. It's the most original Fletcher-class destroyer in the world. I wish they would take her down the river to the museum at New Orleans, so more people could appreciate her.

I gotta get to the WWII Museum next time I'm in NOLA. It would be my third visit and totally worth it.
